Most people buy there wardrobe and then find coordinating shoes. I start from the bottom up. I love shoes. Shoes are my passion. Therefore I find the shoes first and then I find something to wear with it. It may seem ridiculous to you, but that is my thing. Some people could never have enough sweaters and tops; well I can never have enough shoes. Walk in to my closet and you will see what I mean. I have a pair of shoes in every style, color and fabric. I don’t mind wearing the same black top day in, day out. But shoes on the other hand, I need a whole lot of. If you think I have an obsession with shoes than you are thinking right.

This shoe obsession can get quite expensive and a bit out of hand at times. I don’t only buy expensive designer label shoes. I will buy myself shoes at discount stores such as Marshalls and DSW. I have a few pairs of Ferragamo shoes and Tory Birch. Yet I also have shoes from Marc Joseph and Donald Pliner and even no name shoes as well. However, although I buy cheap shoes too, since I buy so many it gets to be quite an expensive obsession.

Being that it gets to be quite expensive, this season I tried to scale back a little. Although it was hard, I am proud to say that I controlled my inner cravings and did not buy every shoe that I liked. I only bought the shoes that I couldn’t resist leaving behind. It’s kind of like being on a diet. You can’t just eat everything you see if you want to lose weight. You can’t completely starve though; sometimes you got to treat yourself. I definitely amassed a nice collection of shoes this season, but not quite as much as I normally do and I feel quite good about it.
